Are you ready? Do you have a vision?
Picture me as I stand staring at the craft closet, stuffed to the brim with boxes upon boxes upon boxes of pictures. Pictures of my grown-up kids back when they were chubby-cheeked and chubby-legged (wasn't it just yesterday?), next to images of my childhood, complete with all the fashion that the seventies had to offer, as well as serious women in long dresses staring back at me, reminding me of the genealogy project that lay unfinished.
Too many times, I had looked at this closet and gotten overwhelmed. But today, I came in with a goal in mind and a plan of action. It helps that I was recently trained as a certified Personal Photo Organizer. I want to scan all of the photos onto a separate hard-drive to keep in the safe - not only to preserve the memories in case of fire/flood/mice, but also to pass along to my children without handing over 17 Tupperware boxes full of loosely organized photos. I want to create a slideshow for my youngest son's graduation party - coming up so soon! - and blow up my favorites to hang on our walls.
Here is how I picture my goal: I take out ALL of the pictures and lay them across my basement floor, chasing away the cats as they came to investigate and, of course, to sit in the now-empty boxes. I organize and sort and toss and scan (guys, this new scanner! up to EIGHTY FIVE pictures a MINUTE! It's unreal!) and before I know it, they will be organized. They are on a hard drive, stored neatly behind my grandmother's wedding ring. I pick up the stack of photos that I wanted to enlarge and frame, and walk away, breathing a sigh of satisfaction that it was done, at last. (At least, until I take more pictures!!)
Maybe your goal isn't a slideshow for your son's graduation party - but maybe you've felt the same way when you look at all your photos, all the memories contained within those boxes. Overwhelmed, a little stressed.
Maybe the thought of scanning them all, one by one, into your computer sounds so boring that not even the idea of marathoning your favorite Netflix show in the background can motivate you.
Maybe you have no idea what to do with your photos, how to display them, how to enjoy them, how to share them with the people you love.
No matter where you are in the process, I can help. From photo organization (I bring the best playlists!) to scanning, to project creation, I'm here for you and your photo needs :) Newly certified in professional photo organizing, with years of experience with photography, photo storage and slideshows, framing, editing, under my belt - I'm here for you, and excited to get started with you! Let's simplify your life, and get the photos out from the shadows to where you and your family can enjoy them.
Let’s get started!
